A cationic polyelectrolyte specification should preserve the evidence behind the approved sludge result. Grade identity, lot, supplier method, powder handling, packaging and commercial terms must remain connected from sample through shipment.

Compare methods before numbers

Review active content or moisture, cationic indicator, solution viscosity, particle size and dissolution methods. Charge density may be reported on different bases and molecular weight may be represented by method-dependent indicators. Values are not automatically interchangeable across suppliers.

Keep the tested grade code and lot with the preparation sheet and dose curve. The application endpoint remains the controlling evidence.

Define incoming verification

Request COA, TDS and SDS for the commercial grade. Retain an approved sample and establish a simple make-down plus sludge check. If performance changes, compare retained and new material on the same fresh sludge before assigning cause.

Audit feeder output, water and maturation at the same time because preparation drift can resemble lot variation.

Specify delivery conditions

Confirm bag and liner, palletization, container loading, marks, destination, Incoterm, lead time and required documents. Protect powder from moisture and manage spills under the SDS because hydrated polymer creates a severe slip hazard.
