Specify the preparation temperature range
Record the lowest relevant water temperature, water quality and actual tank conditions. Keep powder storage and water temperature separate; a warmed laboratory beaker may not represent the plant. Compare at realistic residence
Prepare incumbent and candidate with the installed wetting route and a controlled concentration. Examine residue, fisheyes and consistency after the residence the plant can actually provide. The preparation record helps separate poor induction from slower hydration under the tested temperature.
Confirm useful chain delivery
Evaluate the resulting stock on matched sludge, not only by apparent viscosity or visual clarity. Record delivered dose and liquid/cake endpoints. A viscous solution can still contain incompletely hydrated material, while a different viscosity does not by itself prove inferior application performance. Test after transfer if pump shear is a relevant constraint.
Release a seasonal boundary
Qualify the candidate over the demonstrated water-temperature range and draw rate. If the coldest condition cannot be tested yet, keep the purchase limited or define a later confirmation before broad use. Do not promise winter operation from a room-temperature sample result or assume heating is feasible without plant review.
